Kate Johnson

Facilitator
Kate has been working as a facilitator of learning in one way or another for over 20 years. Raised in the theatre, she began teaching martial arts, physically based acting, and movement while still in her teens, eventually moving on to teach aerial dance, aquatic performance, and act creation as primary disciplines. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, she has spent much of her career working through a lens of the mind-body connection to help students explore -and professionals realize- their full potential. Drawing on this as well as her experience as an accounting clerk, office manager, and producer she now aims to help her students combine the kinesthetic and emotional intelligence she works with as a performer with the practical skills necessary to navigate life in our culture in order to thrive in whatever endeavor they may pursue!

Outside of OC, Kate continues to work as a performing artist. She lives with her husband and their three young people, along with their six fabulous felines. She loves the outdoors even though she’s allergic to most of it, and delights in sharing new journeys big and small!
